My sports partners

Pedigree: Zonik – Prince Thatchxx

Zucchero

If I was able to experience a kindred spirit with a horse for the first time – it was with him!

Rarely have I had such a positive, performance-oriented horse under the saddle. A wonderful partner.

Duke of Britain

Dimaggio – Rubinstein

With him, I got my start in international sport at the top level. Duke was the door opener. When we met, Duke was riding at S level. Step by step we worked our way towards S***, tried an Intermédiaire II and were finally ready to consider a start in a Louisdor Prize qualifier. We came fifth in the final in Frankfurt with the comment from 5* judge Dr. Dietrich Plewa that Duke showed a “classic piaffe”. That was a milestone in our career. It culminated in team bronze at the 2022 World Championships in Herning and countless victories up to 5* level.

Bluetooth

Bordeaux – Riccione

In the shadow of Duke, Bluetooth developed into my “gold horse”. When he came to me, he was already a well-known horse with various prominent riders. After the first ride, I realized that there was much more to it than I ever thought. We started with 70 percent in the Grand Prix and slowly worked our way up. We mostly spent the winter months in Florida trying things out – for example, working out the right time to ride off. That was good for Bluetooth. Just like the intensive work of our national coach Monica Theodorescu. The result is known: Team gold in Paris.

Joy Game

Davino – Privy Councillor

In 2024, he came second in the final of the Louisdor Prize and is now being carefully and calmly prepared for the next steps in his sporting career. He is always a friendly, lovable horse who likes to show off, but also knows when he needs to show what he is made of. In Ankum, for example, I was completely relaxed at the start and tried to bring what we could to the arena. That worked out really well. Joy Game completed the entire test without any errors. So far, he has recorded various Grand Prix victories with up to over 75% on his account. A really great horse who found a new owner in mid-May. I have the pleasure of continuing to train him and his new young rider.

Veuve Cliquot

Vitalis – De Niro

Veuve Clicquot, we call him Ville, is actually my partner Lars’ favorite horse. He rode the Vitalis son to Vice Bundeschampion last year. When Lars is away, for example in Wellington, I get to ride the chestnut. Ville is seven and would be predestined for the Nuremberg Burg Cup. Last December, Lars was in Frankfurt and saw the atmosphere and mood there. After that, he realized that Ville absolutely had to gain tournament experience. So he put me in charge of it straight away in Frankfurt. Lars has always supported me in all situations, right up to the Olympic Games. I’m glad that I can now play my part in ensuring that Lars and Ville continue on their successful path.”
